I'll happily admit that in recent months I have become a fiend for all things Guardians Of The Galaxy. I started reading the Marvel NOW! title when it was released and I got hooked very fast. I am currently hunting down the 2008 run of the title at a reasonable price (easier said than done), and last week, in one go, I bought 43 issues of the 1990's run, and that doesn't even feature the same cast of characters!
The image above is the Hasbro Marvel Universe Team Pack from 2011. I'm not really a toy collector (I do like LEGO though) but when I saw these I knew I had to have them. I have no idea what sort of numbers these figures were produced in, but I'm sure that with the Guardians film coming out next year, this pack will probably get harder to find, so cue rigorous Ebay searches and scouring the web for a UK seller that I could buy from online. No luck. All the sellers I could find were based in mainland Europe or the US, which basically means annoyingly disproportionate shipping charges, and import fees too.
Little did I know that Amazon US ships internationally! I managed to buy the set there for a measly £12, and with shipping and import, the whole thing came in at the £20 mark. Buying on Ebay would have cost almost double that! Happy Scottish Comic Book Guy.
