This happened to a friend of mine (Ronnie) recently while the two of us were comic shopping in a poorly organised local comic shop:
Ronnie: "Hey man, I'm looking for X-man comics, do you know where I can find them?"
Drunk comic shop guy: "X-man? You mean Cable?"
Ronnie: "No, the actual X-man title that started during Age of Apocalypse."
Drunk comic shop guy: "But X-man is Cable."
Ronnie: "Yeah, but I'm looking for the actual X-man comics, you know the ones after Age of Apocalypse?"
The hammered shop owner stands up as if he's about to help, then sits back down. "I dunno man, we might have it somewhere, but X-man is Cable."
Ronnie: "Thanks anyway." (leaves with nothing).
WTF???

ReplyDeleteI actually found it quite funny as I stood watching this happen, so I would hardly call this whining. I suppose I should still say thanks for reading and commenting though eh? :)
